The fatty acids—available in flax seeds, chia seeds, and dietary supplements—not only appear to help with mental and physical health but may lower aggression, according to a study in the journal Aggression and Violent Behavior. Researchers conducted a meta-analysis of 29 randomized controlled trials across 3,918 participants and found a reduction of up to 28% in aggression across age, gender, and dosage levels.
