According to EEL Biotechnology Department professor Valdeir Arantes, “this call is strategic because it enables modernization and expansion of research infrastructure, meeting growing demands in areas such as biotechnological processes, materials engineering, and nanotechnology. The initiative ensures shared access to sophisticated equipment, helps reduce regional inequalities in scientific infrastructure, and accelerates the transformation of academic discoveries into technological innovation and sustainable solutions for society. Additionally, it helps reduce costs with external analyses and optimizes the use of available human and material resources in the unit.”
The professor also highlighted that the equipment’s modular architecture, with specialized accessories, will ensure adaptation to new research challenges and enable continuous and shared use across different lines of investigation, strengthening academic training and the generation of innovative solutions of public interest.
