The Institut Pasteur de São Paulo (IPSP) is a private, non-profit association established in 2023 through a partnership between the Institut Pasteur, a French private foundation, and USP. Headquartered on the USP campus in São Paulo’s capital, IPSP conducts cutting-edge research in the biological sciences, focusing on transmissible, non-transmissible, emerging, re-emerging, neglected, and progressive diseases – including those that affect development or cause degeneration of the nervous system. Its mission is to develop preventive, diagnostic/prognostic, and therapeutic approaches for these diseases, while promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and public health outreach. IPSP is part of the Pasteur Network, which brings together more than 30 research institutes in 25 countries.
