Registration is now open for USP Academy 2026. This edition will offer 15 courses addressing topics such as chronic pain, global dynamics, machine learning, architecture, artificial intelligence, and nutrition.

The courses will be held from July 13 to 31, 2026. They are short-term programs with a minimum workload of 30 hours per week and are taught in English, French, or Spanish. Most courses are offered in a hybrid format, combining remote and in-person activities held on one of USP’s seven campuses.

The courses are free of charge, but travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participant. Registration is open until February 28, 2026. For more information about the courses and the registration process, visit the website of USP’s International Cooperation Office (Aucani).

More than just an academic activity, USP Academy is an opportunity for students from all countries to experience one of the leading Ibero-American universities, participate in cultural activities, and build future partnerships.

“The goal of the program is to expand the availability of activities for international students at USP while also fostering a more cosmopolitan environment and promoting the process of internationalization at home. For exchange students, it is a unique opportunity not only to get to know USP and its vast academic offerings but also to immerse themselves in Brazilian culture and experience daily life in the cities where the courses will take place,” explains Paulo Henrique Braz da Silva, Deputy Director of the Academic Mobility Division at Aucani.

USP Academy

To introduce international students to USP’s graduate programs and research areas, USP’s International Cooperation Office (Aucani) created USP Academy, a program that offers short-term courses taught in English, French, or Spanish in a hybrid format.

The program promotes an internationalization experience for both Brazilian and international students and strengthens academic partnerships with institutions worldwide.

The activities offered include undergraduate, graduate, and extension courses, with cross-disciplinary themes in all areas of knowledge (exact sciences, biological sciences, and humanities). The courses involve at least two professors from different USP units and may also include guest lecturers.

The first edition of USP Academy was held in July 2024 as a pilot program. Ten courses were offered, attracting around 110 participants from several countries. The second edition took place in February 2025, with researchers from all five continents participating.
